Studio Recitals and Performance Opportunities
All students, regardless of age or experience level are encouraged to participate in two annual recitals: a Christmas recital in December and a Spring recital in May.
Why are Recitals Important ?
One of the most important reasons for having recitals every year is to provide each student with the opportunity to work towards the goal of performing at least one piece really well.
Regardless of age, students rise to the occasion, practice more, focus better and put forth the extra effort to make sure that their performance is the best it can be. It teaches students to be more confident when performing infront of an audience, and they get inspiration from other students to keep practicing by hearing a level of piano playing to which they can aspire. Another important benefit is having their family members involved in the process of preparing for and performing at their recital. As a result, they often receive encouragement and support from those closest to them.
All those factors have a significant impact on students' motivation and their ultimate sucess.
